Sub-topic:  One is One and All Alone
Focus skill: reading
Integrated skills: listening and speaking
General Objective: students should be able to understand the short story and understand the issue beyond.

Specific Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
1)      Complete at least 4/5 question in the worksheet individually.
2)      Answer the question in group and gives at least three evidences from the text to support the explanation.
3)       Provides at least one opinion on the cloning activity that has been done in group.

Moral Values: cooperation, mutual-respect

(15 minutes)
-          Teacher distributes the worksheet.
-          Teacher shows a power point presentation on cloning and reminds students to pay attention.
-          Teacher gives time for the students to complete the worksheet.
-          Teacher discusses the worksheet with the students.  
-          Students pay attention on the PPT presentation and answer the worksheet.
-          Students discuss the answer together.  
-Microsoft Power Point Slides.

While-reading
(45 minutes)
-          Divide the class into 5 groups. One group consists of 4 students.
-          Tr. shows a question that can relate to the story.
-          In your opinion, are scientific inventions like cloning a good thing or against Malaysia Cultural norm?  Give reason for your answer. Provide evidence from the text”
-          Tr. instructs students to explain the question and reminds Students to relate and provide at least three evidences from the text.
-          Tr. tells students to present the outcomes verbally.
-          Students answer and explain the question by  finding at least three evidences from the text
-          Students present the outcomes.

Post-reading
(20 minutes)
-          In the same groups, Tr. instructs students to appoint two members as representative for their groups.
-          Tr. explains the activity to the students.
-          Tr. asks each pairs to provide at least one opinion/ feeling on the activities done. Teacher provides the cue.
-          “Is it easy to have clone?”
-          “Is having clone annoys you?”
-          Students need to face their pairs.
-          They need to copy each other’s actions at the same time. So they need to predict what the pairs will do next in other to make the action looks similar and synchronised.
-          The most interesting pairs will get reward.
-          Students tell the feeling/opinion and do reflection.
-          Students do the conclusion.
